Get in Touch!My Boston Fall STEM experience included hands-on activities across multiple disciplines: a civil engineering challenge using limited resources, programming a LEGO robot for competition tasks, conducting gene modification experiments with professional lab equipment, exploring sound waves and acoustics at a movie theater, learning about Tesla coils and electricity at a museum exhibit, and touring energy systems focused on renewable energy and grid infrastructure.
Hi, I’m Mahdiar Banihashemrad, a motivated Austin High School STEM student with a strong interest in genetic engineering and AI. I’m passionate about exploring how technology and science can be combined to solve real-world problems, and I enjoy building projects that challenge me to think critically and creatively. Outside of academics, I’m a section leader in my school’s band and play the trumpet, which has taught me leadership, discipline, and collaboration. I also love traveling, playing video games, and solving Rubik’s cubes, all of which fuel my curiosity and problem-solving mindset. I’m always eager to learn, take on new challenges, and grow both as a student and as an aspiring engineer.
